Nothing is Deejay

Who Knows How To Deejay Anymore

Here's a question that I put forward many times to a lot of the younger disc jockeys on the block coming through. They say to me 'Yes, of course I can DJ', I'm an expert at using CDJ and DJ controller machines. In fact, I'm also a master of the old traditional vinyl turntables like Technics 1210s. Does that mean I'm a better DJ than the new generation? Of course it does. There's a method to my madness you know.

Some crowds Prefer Vinyl

Yes it's true and you heard it here first that a lot of crowds that I've had the pleasure to DJ for actually prefer the sound of vinyl over CDs or MP4s (digital music). So why is that I hear you ask? The answer is simple. There's an earthy tone to playing wax records that is simply lost when you play through a modern day CD turntable.

The Future of DJ Equipment

Quite frankly I am a bit on the fence about this one. Although I do see the need for CD turntables right now in 2017 I also think that CDs will completely vanish in time and so leaving only DJ controllers in most if not all nightclubs and DJ functions. Does this mean that CD turntables will quickly become a thing of the past like vinyl turntables? Perhaps yes, I think so. What I'm basing this on is that there will always be a group of people that want to hear vinyl and also there will be that section of the crowd who prefer to listen to turntables on CD. So there will always be the niche selection and DJ equipment is moving on all the time so watch this space. We will aim to keep you updated with all the latest in deejay equipment over the coming months and years.
